Better Bike Parks takes pride in creating new spaces for outdoor recreation, as well as revamping and maintaining them.
Have a property you'd like to develop into a space that fosters community, goal-setting, and progression?
Our dirt jump lines, complete with our signature BBP takeoff ramps, provide significantly reduced maintenance, a smooth and predictable ride quality, and a flow that is usually only found in the "homegrown" jump spots in the woods. We grew up building and riding and have honed our approach to making jump lines that foster progression while flowing intuitively and safely.
We specialize in asphalt surface pump tracks designed for intermediate and advanced riders. These tracks are built to meet and exceed industry standards, with fully compact road base under-construction, asphalt placed at 4" thick and compacted, and transitions that flow more intuitively than the tracks built by big contractors/bike park companies.
Small kids on push bikes and users in wheelchairs also deserve a space to recreate that feels safe and inclusive. Asphalt surface pump tracks with smaller features and more gentle curvature are inviting even to the most novice of riders.
Bike parks need regular upkeep - a maintained bike park is a safer bike park. We perform semiannual maintenance to undo the effects of erosion caused by park use and weather. Just like baseball and soccer fields, cities should set aside annual budget to take care of their bike park, too (the cost is quite similar to maintaining a sports field!)
We recommend spring and fall maintenance to keep your dirt jump line running smoothly during the highest-use months of the year. Darks are usually riddled with issues; rain runoff ruts, rocks shedding onto riding surfaces, dirt transitions that have sagged and deformed due to water saturation, and rough edges that need to be cleaned up. We restore transitions to their intended shapes, fill rain ruts, create better drainage solutions, clean up sides and edges, and leave lines looking like new.
Any asphalt pump track (regardless of manufacturer) should receive a fresh seal coat at least once per year. This prevents damage due to water ingress and severe temperature shifts. Better Bike Parks can apply a fresh seal coat to your track, as well as paint new striping and usage indicators so that your park stays looking new and maintained. This is also key in maintaining your track's warranty.
